Wealth Management (WM): Wealth Management business is a leading provider of financial services to high-net worth clients through Wells Fargo Private Bank, and to the affluent segment through partnerships between Wealth Brokerage Services and the Community Bank. In Wealth Management, clients are provided with a complete range of solutions to help them manage, preserve and transfer their wealth.

Responsible for overseeing real estate asset management activities, including the pre-acceptance, inspection, annual review, management, distribution and liquidation of real estate assets held in fiduciary accounts.

The prospective asset manager is also responsible for promoting and obtaining new business within the bank, as well as, to existing and prospective clients.

*Position is to be located in Bismarck, ND however our Moorhead, MN may be considered dependent upon applicant qualifications.

_Major Responsibilities_:

  • Candidate should have a clear understanding of Agriculture, its daily activities, background & history, USDA farm programs and be able to implement procedures to improve the property under management.

  • Follow policies and procedures to ensure that efficient methods of management are established to provide effective asset management for accounts that hold real estate assets.

  • Implement property management and leasing programs, handle periodic maintenance and obtain appraisals.

  • Acquire and liquidate assets, evaluate financial performance of managed assets; implement and manage environmental due diligence and remediation programs.

  • Work closely with trust officers, co-fiduciaries, co-owners and investors in the evaluation of hold vs sell recommendations to ensure the client's investment objective is achieved through the broad range of investment holdings.

  • Maintain appropriate risk management processes to ensure that Wells Fargo Bank fulfills its fiduciary responsibilities in accordance with policies, procedures, applicable governing documents and law. Examples include acceptance of new business, annual inspections, ensuring properties are maintained in excellent condition, payment of property taxes, placement of insurance, negotiation of sales/purchases/leases/easements, capital expenditures, etc.

  • Manage internal and 3rd party resources throughout the bank's national franchise to facilitate the management of real estate assets.

  • Assign, delegate and supervise related work, as appropriate, among the unit's associate staff members and 3rd party resources.

  • Coordinate work with trust administration, portfolio management, trust operations and other asset management units as required to meet client objectives and the bank's risk management requirements.

  • A basic understanding of trust administration principals, fiduciary statutes, and OCC regulations is advantageous.

  • Ensure that all requisite documentation for new assets is obtained, reviewed, summarized and presented to the appropriate Trust Administration Committee for approval and or ratification in accordance with established Trust Policy.

  • Ensure that all assets are properly reviewed and inspected as required by Trust Policy.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of real estate relationship management experience

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of asset management

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of wealth management

  • Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
