Banfield Pet Hospital Associate Business Partner - NE in Field Leadearship City, United States

Job Purpose/Overview * Focus on operational HR priorities and focus areas that ladder up to the POCP priorities of retention, talent, and culture. * Reports to the P&O Co-Pilot for the Region, working closely with hospital leaders, associates and the Field Director to ensure execution of regional priorities.

Key Responsibilities * Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team. * Communicate and role model the importance of associate engagement in a way that influences our line managers and associates to incorporate the mindset into daily business decisions and conversations * Educate on the importance of our culture and how to incorporate The Five Principles into daily activities and decision making. * Provide the full range of P&O generalist services to managers and associates with emphasis on talent, retention, culture and the implementation of P&O programs. * Partner with field leadership to ensure transitioning hospital leaders first 90 days support to accelerate performance in role. * Identify hospital/ market areas of opportunity and quickly activate solutions in partnership with the POCP. * Ensure the organizational and functional messaging is cascaded, and being understood in the hospitals. * Support the execution of annual and on-going P&O processes such as talent reviews, performance development process, associate engagement survey, and others as necessary. * Work closely with hospital leaders and associates to improve work relationships, build morale, increase hospital team productivity and retention. * Other job duties as assigned.

Job Specifications/Qualifications * Education & Professional Qualification o Required
+ Type of Degree: Bachelor's + Field of Study: HR or Business Management o Preferred PHR or SHRM-CP certification

  • Knowledge/Experience o Years of Experience Required: 3
    + In what area: Human Resources o Required HR generalist experience o Preferred Multi-unit experience with locations across wide geographic areas o Preferred Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.).

Special Working Conditions * Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
* Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job. * Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently. * Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables. * Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds. * Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment. * The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate. * Environment where pets are present.
