With our state of the art Conference and Events centre Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley is looking for a Conference and Events Manager to lead their dynamic, high volume and fast paced Banqueting operations.

Located in the Hunter Valley wine region, we are the largest conference and exhibition facility offering 2000 square meters of pre-function, meeting and exhibition space catering for up to 1600 delegates. We also have a ballroom and many versatile function space for smaller groups. Special outdoor events are also held around the resort.

Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, you'll manage the delivery of conferences, banquets and meetings in the hotel. This will include the planning and logistics to ensure operational high performance, overseeing the standards and procedures of the department, conducting room familiarizations and site inspections and monitoring competitor activities. This is the lead role that has responsibility for the large team that delivers exceptional results for all events from 10-1600 people.

You will also be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, and identifying development needs of your team in order to deliver effective training.

Qualifications

Ideally you'll have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Banquet Manager, with a proven eye for detail and the organisational skills required to successfully deliver large conferences and events. A passion for leading your team to meet the highest levels of guest satisfaction is also essential.
